HEY GUYS!
Just a quick post today, been busy prepping for stuff and getting ready for the Pop-Up Shop that is THIS SUNDAY!
It’s something I’ve been trying to do for a bit — have a mini exhibition thingy for people in Darwin to have a chance to get some typewriter love. I’m not sure what to expect, but I’m hoping that some people find it fun. :)
My stall will be doing a Gold Coin Donation to help some kitties over at DARG. Your gold coin(s) will get you a paper that you can use to type on any of the typewriters at the Pop-Up Shop, and that’s yours to keep! Although, I’d suggest sending it off to make someone’s day sweeter.
DARG is a local group with a heap of cats, kittens and occasionally puppies that need new homes. If you could pop by their page and have a look at how you can help that’ll be awesome.
The machines that will be attending:
- Olympia Splendid 33 (Maroon)
- Olympia SM2
- Torpedo Portable
- Triumph Tippa 1
- SCM Corsair 700
- Olympia SM7
- Adler Tippa
- Olympia Splendid 99 (Black)
Pictures next time. There is so much to tell! A whole heap of parcels with goodies arrived and things happened and needs sharing, but I won’t be blogging too much till the dust settles. You can follow some of the crazy on Facebook and @natslaptaps on Instagram though!
Till the next post guys, take care!
P.S. Apparently today it’s Natslaptap’s 2nd blogging anniversary. Whoop whoop!
Hey, best of luck with it, Nat! Let us know how it goes.
Thanks Mr.T! I definitely will blog about it ;)
Thanks Mr. T! I definitely will.
Great cause Nat. I rescued my cat “Baggy” from Broome (“Saving Animals From Euthanasia”, Karratha, similar to DARG) He’s one lucky cat. Congrats on 2 years!.
I think typewriters and cats are like natural buddies. Heaps of Typospherians have cats! :D hopefully I get to raise some money. And thanks! ;)
all 3 of our pocket tigers are rescued strays. No point in paying money for a cat when they’re free for the asking. (:
Happy 2nd Blog-A-Versary!
Hahaha pocket tigers! Very cute. :3
Many thanks Rev. Munk!
Well, quit running around so the dust doesn’t whirl up again! Otherwise we will never know!
Have fun during the pop-up shop. You chose some nice typewriters for people to use. And a good cause too. How could anyone ever pass on this?
Hahaha I’m sure I’ll stop soon! ;)
Hopefully it all ends well… Worse case scenario is that I gain experience right? Haha!
Sounds suspiciously like it could turn into a Type-In! A Darwinian first?
Give it 3 years, maybe it will! :D
